Hot wire cutting involves heating a thin wire to a high temperature, typically using an electric current. The hot wire is then guided through the EPS foam, melting and vaporizing the foam as it passes through, leaving behind a clean cut. The heat from the wire seals the edges of the foam, minimizing fraying or crumbling.

EPS foam can be carved and sculpted to create larger-than-life characters or mascots with a CNC foam cutting machine. For example, imagine a giant foam sculpture of a cartoon character, superhero, or animal. These props are often used in theme parks, parades, or children’s events to provide interactive and photo-worthy experiences.
